• Participants will be split into teams.
• Each team will be given a well known song.
• Each team will be allocated time to design their performance and    possibly write their own lyrics to the song.
• Team members will be encouraged to make their entry catchy, team orientated and relevant to the company.
• Facilitators will go between the teams to assist and give advice.

• Teams will reconvene for the final performance of their song in a fun filled concert with costumes, audio and lights.
• Selected judges will vote for the best performance and prizes will be awarded. 

• Battle of the Musicals – teams sing songs from well known musicals.
• Battle of the Decades – teams sing songs from particular decades.
• Battle of the Legends – teams sing songs from well known artists
• Battle of the Choirs – teams sing choral arrangements of gospel or other songs.
  
  
  
  

This workshop follows a similar philosophy to our ‘It Takes Teams’ product. 

• Participants are split into teams and each team becomes a ‘country’
• Each team participate in a number of ‘events’ throughout the day. These may include ‘Holding a note for the longest time frame’, ‘Guess the pitch’, ‘Complete the lyrics’, ‘Guess the artist’ and many other choices of event.
• The final ‘event’ is a ‘sing off’, where teams are given a chance to prepare and perform a song for their country.
• Each team is awarded points for each event and a medal ceremony is held at the end to reveal the winning team
  

TEAM IDOL 

This workshop will bring out the Rock Star or Diva in you. Participants will chose from over 4,000 songs, be given vocal coaching, presentation tips and basic movement ideas.  The stage is then set for a dazzling concert where the participants compete for the Grand Prize.

• The Basics of Singing – breathing, voice projection, sounds and placement and expression.
• The Art of Performance.
• Microphone Technique
• Pre-performance preparation.

BATTLE OF THE CHOIRS

Nothing can beat the buzz you get when you sing as a united group, raising your voices to the roof. In this workshop, you will be grouped into choirs and then further separated to learn different vocal parts.  The choice of songs is unlimited and would range from toe-tapping African American gospel classics or invigorating African songs to contemporary hits.  When the groups come together, they will be blown away by the combination of voices.  Simple parts become complex when joined together and it is such an invigorating, energising experience.  There is also “safety in numbers” as everyone plays their part but no-one is exposed. There is an option to add percussion and movement.

 

BAND MEMBER FOR A DAY

Be amazed that with very little time, you can form your own band.  Our team will have you playing drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, keyboard, percussion and singing. The band could perform at the company dinner or, if there are several bands, there could be a Battle of the Bands competition.
 

15 MINUTES OF FAME

What a great way to open your next conference – everyone on their feet, clapping and singing to a medley of catchy, uplifting songs. We begin with a medley of songs that we are going to get the audience to join in with.  We perform these songs in an engaging and motivating way before teaching the group. At the end of the session, delegates feel energised and motivated about participating in the conference that lies ahead.
Below is a list of songs that you could choose from but the options are endless…

We would also incorporate percussion and actions to really get the whole group moving and involved.  They have been chosen based on familiarity, uplifting appeal and group interaction.  They have simple parts which could be learnt quickly and effectively and foot tapping beats.

 

SONG WRITING WORKSHOP

Take the theme of your conference and let your employees create a song that expresses the company’s philosophies, goals, history and future plans.  Our team will give them a choice of song styles such as rock, pop, soul, etc. Working in collaboration, the group will create a chorus with melody and lyrics, and then break into smaller groups to each write a verse.  They then reconvene to bring it all together and record the final product. If there is the opportunity, they can then perform it at the conference dinner. Delegates will be sent a CD of their product as well as a music video of the recording process and final performance.

HARMONY IN THE WORKPLACE

More and more companies are realising the importance of rewarding their employees. It creates job satisfaction and employee loyalty towards their workplace. Many companies offer a weekly personal training session or frequent health screening to employees as a means of looking after them. What about giving them a chance to be creative? To do something they have always wanted to try but due to their busy schedule, never have the chance? The team at Vocal Harmony Works will come into your work place on a weekly (or other regular) basis to run singing workshops with your employees. You can create connections across the company by selecting from a mixture of departments. The course could run to your nominated time frame and the employees could then perform at morning tea or Friday night drinks. Then choose another group of employees to begin the cycle again!   

COMPANY CHOIR

Reward your employees by offering the opportunity to sing in the Company Choir.  This may occur inside or outside business hours and could take place on or off site.  Your company choir could perform at the next Christmas Party, Company Function or just at morning tea!

PRODUCT LAUNCH USING PARODY

When you launch your next product, why not add a special touch?  We can compose and write lyrics for a song that will sell the product in style.  This could be workshopped with some of your employees or you can just leave it to our team.  The final product could then be either professionally recorded and played at the launch or you could get your employees to perform it live!

KARAOKE SOCIAL NIGHT

Treat your employees to a night of fun and entertainment.  We can coach individuals or groups on a song of their choice prior to the event.  Participants will feel much more confident

 

and prepared going into the event. The excitement around the office will be sure to make the night a raging success.  We can even provide a live band to support each singer or alternatively use good quality backing tracks.
