Mirvac is moving, we're on our way!
Vocal Harmony Works (VHW) were proud to lead a songwriting workshop at the Mirvac General Managers Conference in September 2008. The theme was 'change' and fifty employees were asked to write a song reflecting on the past, acknowledging the present and, planning the future. Together we chose the style of music and brainstormed the types of words and phrases that would be included in the lyrics. The group became animated and enthusiastic as they pieced together the lyrics and rehearsed it to the music. A hit song was born!
Next step, the recording studio! Headed by VHW's expert audio visual team, the room was quickly fitted out with the equipment required to capture this work of art. The participants recorded their master piece whilst adding feeling and expression, in order to produce the 'perfect take'. They inspired and motivated each other and at the end of the day, they were no longer strangers. No matter how small the contribution, every one in the room was responsible for the product they had created. They felt a sense of pride and accomplishment and they had something to show for it!
The following night at the conference dinner the song writing team sang their hit song for their admiring colleagues. They were enthusiastic, proud and united. In the following weeks the team from VHW mixed, mastered and edited the recording and audio footage to provide the employees with a copy of their own music video.
