Make a Wish - Together we can make a difference!

In May of 2009, the Vocal Harmony Works (VHW) team were assigned to energise and enthuse the delegates at the Make a Wish Foundation Conference in Melbourne.  Following lunch and an intense morning of lectures, the delegates rallied in song with our version of The Lion Sleeps Tonight.  Whilst some of the group played various forms of percussion, (shakers, drums and tambourines) the others learnt one of three vocal parts. Delegates were reminded that on their own, neither of these three parts are very exciting, but when you put them together, they make a beautiful product that every one is a part of.  The final result saw the drummers in time, the singers in tune and the delegates united. As the song progressed, the african style shrieks added colour and smiles to the final product.  Within thirty minutes this group of strangers were invigorated, they had interacted and stepped out of their comfort zones.  The barriers between them had been broken and they were now ready to work as a team.

VHW facilitators, Gabrielle, Clare and Cynthia and Raju lead the troops in song.
